Snack Guidelines

COLCMS is a nut free school. Please be sure any items you send do not contain nuts.

Organic food is strongly preferred. We really appreciate you making the effort to buy organic for our toddlers, especially fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Thank you in advance for helping make snack healthy, safe, and delicious!

TOO BUSY TO SHOP? We love to handle shopping and delivery! Simply let Stefanie know by Friday the week before and send $100 cash or check made out COLCMS. You can also click the PayPal link below to pay online. 

​Toddler Class Snack Shopping List

Every week we need the following items:


  • 10-12 bananas
  • 10-12 juice oranges
  • 10 – 12 apples
  • Loaf of sliced whole grain bread (brands: Simple Truth Organic, Arnold Organic, Nature's Own, or other nut and milk free)
  • One bunch of fresh flowers (for flower arranging)
  • 2 containers of strawberries

 

For the rest of the week, choose the suggested number of items from each section:

 

Fruit (choose 3 from list below)


  • One bag of clementines
  • 2 containers of blueberries
  • Melon cut into toddler sized pieces or sliced (not melon balls)
  • one bag of grapes, cut in halves lengthwise
  • Mango slices
  • Mandarin Oranges in juice – 3 packages

 

Veggies (choose 2 from list below)


  • 1 bag or box shelled edamame
  • 1 bag baby carrots
  • 3 sliced bell peppers
  • 2 boxes cherry tomatoes
  • 3 Avocados
  • 2 Sliced cucumbers
  • 1 crown of broccoli
  • 1 crown of cauliflower

 

Extras (choose 2 from list below)


  • Hummus – (not pine nut)
  • Two blocks of cheese or 2 bags of string cheese
  • Dried fruit (raisins, apples, bananas, etc.)
  • Ranch dressing to be used for dipping veggies
  • Cream cheese

 

Carbs (choose 4 from list below)


  • Crackers: Annie's Bunnies; Back to Nature Crackers, Triscuits, Wheat Thins, pretzel thins
  • Cereal Bars: (at least 10) suggested brands: Kashi Cereal Bars (Mixed Berry, Ripe Strawberry), Simple Truth Fruit and Grain Bars
  • Chips: Food Should Taste Good Tortilla Chips, veggie straws or chips, Pirates Booty
  • Pita Bread: Toufayan or other nut free
  • 2 bags of snap pea crisps 
  • Mini bagels
