We started our last day of camp with an awesome surprise brought in by Ms. Katherine - a jar full of ladybugs! Since we hadn't been able to find any in our garden the day before this was especially exciting. The children loved looking at the ladybugs through this special magnifying lens cap on the jar. A few even escaped! After looking at the ladybugs, we started our art project for the day - mosiacs. The subjects the children chose to made ranged form a cricket to a tree to a rocket ship. Friday was a special day, because our friend L. turned 3! We marked the occasion with our Primary Class's traditional celebration. Ms. Claire lit a candle to represent the sun and L. carried the globe around the sun 3 times - once for each year she has been on this earth. We then sang happy birthday and another special birthday song. Finally, we had some yummy fruit popscicles to mark the occasion. Happy Birthday! We closed our last day of camp by having a picnic on our towels. A great time was had by all and we hope you'll be joining us for our Wonderful Wednesday art camps starting June 20th.
