Cross of Life Christian Montessori school is proud to be a fully recognized AMI school. AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) was formed in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to insure that her philosophy and approach to education would be carried on as she intended. The name 'Montessori' is not trademarked, however, a school that carries the AMI name is continuing the tradition of quality first established by Dr. Montessori. This tradition incorporates standards based directly on Dr. Montessori’s work.
In addition, we are Accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. This ensures that our Pre-K and Kindergarten curriculum meet or exceed state standards.
Our teaching methods are based in traditional Montessori methods and teaching tools. Our values are based in the Christian foundations of faith, community, service, love and respect. Cross of Life Christian Montessori School is the only school in the area to integrate Catechesis of the Good Shepherd lessons into it's primary program.
Our staff fosters a strong sense of community and family atmosphere. We focus on interpersonal relationships, as much as we do on academics. Cross of Life Christian Montessori school is not just a school. We are a family. Click here to find out what our parents are saying about us.
We are proud to maintain an intimate atmosphere that fosters exploration and a nurturing learning environment. Our goal is to develop children who can express themselves politely and confidently. We assist and teach them to solve problems and conflicts, so that eventually they can do so without the help of adults.
We maintain a small student body, so each child receives a lot of individual attention. The student to teacher ratio is approximately seven to one. Each staff member is carefully chosen for his or her skill, education, professionalism, and of course, kindness. All are certified Montessori teachers.
